Mandya: The police team cracked ATM robbery case by arresting a culprit from North India.
On the midnight of April 11, an SBI ATM at Maddur was robbed of Rs. 20.6 Lakh by a gang using gas cutter. It was said that a gang of five persons sprayed paint onto CC cameras at ATM and cut the machine by using gas cutter and took away the money.
Mandya Superintendent of Police N. Yetish Kumar formed a 8-member team under the leadership of Maddur Inspector K. N. Harish Kumar. The team went to Uttar Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Delhi and managed to arrest one accused from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh.
The arrested has been identified as Deepak Thomar (29). The efforts are on to nab four accused who are at large.
