Mandya: In a startling event at V.V. Nagar layout in Mandya, a man employed as a professor at a private college is suspected of killing his wife amidst a property dispute. The accused allegedly used a pillow and bedsheet to strangle his wife to death.
Following the murder, the perpetrator attempted to stage the death as natural. However, the deception was exposed, leading to the arrest of the husband, identified as T.N. Somashekar (41). The victim in this tragic incident has been identified as S. Shruthi (32).
In the course of questioning, the police reported that Somashekar admitted to murdering his wife, Shruthi, citing her alleged interest in property as the motive.
