Maddoor : Fans of sandalwood star Ramya who are disappointed over her defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, have turned their anger towards veteran actor and state minister Ambarish. They who believe that Ambarish was indirectly responsible for Ramya’s debacle, have behaved in an uncivilised fashion by putting up a flex banner having the portrait of Ambarish and using obscene language. The flex was noticed at the TB Circle in the town.
However, when news soon spread, there was a tense atmosphere and the authorities wasted no time in removing the flex banner.Ramya fans had used a marker pen to write in the flex that Ambarish was mainly responsible for Ramya’s defeat.
Ambarish Abhimanigala Balaga Taluk President Hottegowdanadoddi Nagesh and members Siddesh Girish, Praveen and others who rushed to the spot demanded that the banner be removed.
Speaking on the occasion, Nagesh said Ambarish was not responsible for Ramya’s defeat. In fact, Ramya got a lead of 6976 votes in Mandya assembly constituency which Ambarish is representing, while she was trailing by by over 12000 votes in SM Krishna’s home constituency.
They also demanded action against those responsible for putting up the flex banner.
