Mandya: Refuting the rumours of him joining the BJP, Congress leader and former Minister Ambarish has said that there are no possibilities of the same taking place.
Addressing a news conference in Mandya, he said that the BJP leaders did meet him and invite him t join the BJP, but there are no plans of changing party.
“The Congress party has given me everything that nurtured my political career. I am not the one who will shift my loyalty only because I have no ministry in my kitty,” he said.
Talks of Ambarish having drift with the Congress started making rounds since two years, where time and again he has remained away from various Congress programmes.
Clarifying on the same, he said that he has been away from active politics due to ill-health and his absence has been misinterpreted by many as drift with the Congress.
Meanwhile, Ambarish has been caught in eye of storm after holding a LPG cylinder distribution programme in his close friend Amaravathi Chandrashekar’s house instead of holding the programme in MLA’s office.
