Mandya: 8 cops booked for allegedly threatening Hindu activist

Mandya: The Mandya police registered FIR against 8 cops of Srirangapatna Town Police Station for allegedly threatening a Hindu activist who reportedly threw banana stalks on a place of worship.

According to police sources, the police had taken a Hindu activist to custody in connection with throwing banana stalks on a place of worship on December 4. It has been alleged that at custody the police allegedly threatened and used foul language against the Hindu activist.

Hindu organisations held a protest for two days demanding action against the police. Now, the police registered FIR against the accused cops.
