Mandya: Days after he was appointed as the Mandya District-in-charge Minister Revenue Minister R. Ashok is facing backlash from BJP leaders. However, R. Ashok said that only JDS and Congress Leaders are opposing him as they are scared by his entry.
R. Ashok replaced K. Gopalaiah as the District-in-charge Minister.
According to the sources, several BJP Activists believe that R. Ashok is known for adjustment politics and he may cause problems for the party’s organisation in the District. They are pasting go back Ashok posters in several parts of the District which has come as an embarrassment to him.
According to the BJP Leaders, none of the local leaders are happy with Ashok’s appointment as the District In-Charge Minister. They want continuation of Gopalaiah.
Meanwhile, Ashok said that this decision is taken by the Party National Leadership. He expressed confidence that party will defeat JD (S) and Congress in the District.
