Mandya: The murders in sugar District Mandya has been continuing. A youth was hacked to death on the night of Sunday July 3 by miscreants at Shanty Market in Bellur Town of Nagamangala Taluk here.
This is the third murder case in a month in the District. The deceased has been identified as Sunil, a resident of Ambedkar Colony in Bellur and Director of a Co-operative Milk Union. A group of miscreants blocked
him when he was going to home in a two-wheeler and attacked with machetes.
Sunil, who was seriously injured, was admitted to a local hospital by the public, where he succumbed to injuries. The exact reason for the murder is not known. A case has been registered at Bellur Police Station, Nagamangala.
A week back a rowdy sheeter was hacked to death in temple premises by rival gang in similar manner. On June 16, a woman was hacked to death by a miscreant slitting throat.
