Mandya: The coalition leaders of Congress and Janata Dal (S) have been continuously waging verbal war against the Mandya Lok Sabha independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh. Despite facing criticism from Sumalatha’s fans several times for going personal, JDS MP L R Shivarame Gowda has yet again made a fleeting comment about Sumalatha, here on Friday, April 12.
Addressing a rally in Nagamangala in favour of the coalition candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy, he has termed Sumalatha as ‘siren.’
He said, “She is like a siren who knows only to attract people and nothing else. This ‘touring talkies’ politics which only acts superficially in front of the people, will not be tolerated by the people of Mandya for too long.”
“No one votes for an actor contesting independently as the people who support them will only get confused since they do not have an established political party”, he added.
