Mandya: Three persons of a family including newly wed couple dies in freak mishap between car and bus at Kempana Koppa Village in Nagamangala Taluk on Sunday January 2.
The deceased has been identified as Sudeep (35) Srija (30) and Thangamma (55), all natives of Somwarpet in Kodagu District. It is said that four in aswift car returning home after offering pooja at Adichunchanagiri Temple. The KSRTC bus was heading towards Bellur.
It is said that the couple married on December 10 in Somwarpet. The mishap occured when car driver attempting to overtake another vehicle rammed the bus. Sudeep was working in a bank in Mysuru. The bus driver, two passangers and the 15-year-old girl , who was in car has been admitted to BGS Hospital for treatment. Girl’s condition is said to be serious.
Nagamangala Rural Police has registered a case and are investigating.
