Mandya: Two students from Bishop Cotton Institution met a watery grave when they ventured into deep waters of river Cauvery during a tour on Friday, January 13.
Srinivas (20) and Devaraj (21) are the deceased students while their college mate Mahadev was rescued.
A group of 52 students were on a tour at the famous Gaganachukki and Bharachukki waterfalls when the tragedy struck. Mahadev is recuperating at a government hospital in KR pet.
After completing the water sport session, the group had lunch together and later got into river for swimming,
It is learnt that both drowned students did not know to swim.
