Mysuru: Marigowda, who had surrendered in the morning on Wednesday, August 3, was sent to judicial custody by Mysuru 3rd JMFC court till August 16 in regards to the DC Shikha verbal abuse case.

Mysuru Nazarbad police had produced Marigowda in the court following his medical examination after he surrendered in the morning. Judge Deepa sent Marigowda to a 14-day juidicial custody. His bail plea was rejected earlier and the court had asked him to surrender.

The crowd apart from followers of Marigowda had gathered in large number to see Marigowda. When inspector Shekar tried to restrict media persons at Nazarbad Police Station, there was heated exchange of words.

It may be brought to light that DC Shikha was verbally abused by Marigowda, a former ZP president when the CM was in city to attend an Ifthar party. Soon after the CM left the government guest house, Marigowda and his supporters verbally abused and threatened DC Shikha. She, instead of following CM’s cavalcade, went to Nazarbad police station and lodged a complaint.
