MDYSF felicitates achievers of 7th Asian Yoga Championship

Mysuru: The Mysuru District Yoga and Sports Foundation (MDYSF) felicitated the students of Vivekananda Yoga Education and Research Institution who excelled in the 7th Asian Yoga Championship which was held in Singapore recently.

Five students of Vivekananda Yoga Education and Research Institution, including H Kushi who recently entered the Guinness Books by performing a record breaking number of back plank recline crunchers in a minute secured four gold medals and a silver medal. She was participating in the championship for the second consecutive year. The other winners are R Ankita, class VI student who bagged a gold medal; K Vignesh, ninth standard student who won four silver medals; Anjali Bhaskar, ninth standard student who won bronze and silver medal and Amulya Narayan who won silver and a bronze medal.

P N Ganesh, a city-based Yoga teacher stood fourth and cleared international Asian Yoga referee exam and also cleared diploma in Yoga teacher exam. Indian contingent comprised of total 49 participants including five from Mysuru.
