Mysuru: Member of Parliament Pratap Simha flashed his salary slip to take on his detractors on Twitter, who had launched a massive campaign against the parliamentarian on social media over telephone bills misuse.

In the Twitter campaign, trollers had charged MPs of availing telephone allowance to the extent of Rs 15,000 per month during times when a Jio SIM is available for Rs 399 with unlimited data and free calls. They had termed it as the biggest joke as the amount exceeds eleven crores with all MPs phone expenses put together and urged the government to put an end to it.

However, Mysuru BJP MP Pratap Simha took on all the Twitter trollers by flashing his actual salary slip issued by the parliament secretariat.

Each MP is paid Rs 1.1 Lakh a month of which Rs 50,000 is for salary and Rs 15000 for office expenses. The rest Rs 45,000 is meant for expenses within Mysuru parliamentary constituency, MP Pratap Simha claimed to silence his opponents on Twitter.
