Bengaluru’s Mysore Road is on the brink of a major upgrade, thanks to the Greater Bengaluru Development Authority’s (GBDA) ambitious Greater Bengaluru Suburban Project. Covering vast areas of Ramanagara district, including Bidadi, Byramangala, Bannigiri, Hosur, and Harohalli, the project is set to reshape the region’s urban landscape.

With 6,023 acres earmarked for development as part of a larger 8,943-acre expansion, the initiative aims to streamline urbanisation, ease congestion, and enhance connectivity with Bengaluru. Land acquisition will follow the Karnataka Urban Development Act, 1987, ensuring compensation for affected landowners.

Realtor K Ramaiah believes this initiative will boost real estate activity, making Mysore Road a prime hub for residential and commercial investment. Improved metro links, roads, and public transport will further drive demand for housing, office spaces, and retail hubs.

As modern residential complexes, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities emerge, the region will attract a new wave of homebuyers—young professionals, families, and retirees. The introduction of parks, water bodies, and open spaces will enhance quality of life, making the area even more desirable.

“This development will trigger a real estate boom, with high-end housing and commercial projects reshaping the skyline,” says realtor Sathyavathi. Mysore Road is poised to become one of Bengaluru’s hottest investment destinations.
