Owing to the best practices, it has been certified with ISO 9001-2008 certification for quality assurance and with ISO 14001-2004 for the environmental policy. It may also be noted that Mysore Sandal soap completed 100 years of existence in May 2016.

C M Suvarna Kumar, Deputy General Manager (Marketing), KSDL said, “The product, Mysore Sandal Millennium Luxury Soap which was launched during 2012 has become the most popular brand in the super premium soaps category in the country. The product contains pure natural sandalwood oil, added with other key essential oils. The other products like Mysore Sandal soap, Mysore Sandal Gift Pack, Mysore Sandal Gold soap, Mysore Sandal Gold Sixer, Mysore Sandal Dhoop, Mysore Sandal Agarbathies, Mysore Sandal herbal hand wash, Kleenol, Mysore Sandal baby soap, sandalwood billets, sandalwood oil, Mysore Carbolic soap, Mysore washing half bar and Mysore detergent cake are the notable brands which are very popular in the market and have earned the trust of our customers. The company has taken up the initiative programme ‘Grow More Sandal’ by making available to the farmers sandalwood saplings at a very subsidised prize.” The expo will be open to public daily between 9 AM and 9 PM.

Rampant duplication of KSDL products especially Mysore Sandal Soaps

Though there is rampant duplication of KSDL products especially Mysore Sandal Soaps, according to Suvarna Kumar they have filed cases against just four to five persons. “To curb duplication of our products, in days to come we will be taking help from respective police commissioners and try to take stringent action against the violators. Some of the guides are also misleading the tourists. After Dasara, we will start campaigning on the originality of our products and create awareness to the public regarding rampant duplication of our products”, added Suvarna.
