Mysterious Death: College Lecturer Allegedly Dies by Suicide

Nanjanagud: A college lecturer allegedly took his own life by setting himself on fire in a deserted area near Hosahalli Gate in Nanjanagud taluk on Friday. The deceased, identified as Madappa, 45, hailed from Ingalwadi in Gundlupet taluk, Chamarajanagar district. Madappa resided in VA Layout in Nanjangud town.

Reports indicate that Madappa was a faculty member at a Government PU College in Chamarajnagar, while his wife, Poornima, worked as a faculty member at JSS College. The couple appeared to be leading a contented life and had a 16-year-old daughter.

The sudden and tragic nature of Madappa’s decision has left his family in shock, with the reason behind his actions still unknown. Nanjanagud Rural police, accompanied by a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team and a canine squad, have initiated an investigation into the incident.
