Mysuru: The Dasara Film Festival Committee has announced that the inaugural ceremony of the Dasara Film Festival will take place on October 3, with film screenings scheduled from October 4 to 10.
To enhance accessibility for cinema enthusiasts in rural areas, online registration for passes is now available. Interested individuals can book their passes using their Aadhaar card through the website Seva Sindhu.
For those unable to register online, passes can be obtained by providing the necessary information at Grama One centres in rural areas, and Karnataka One or Mysuru One centres in urban areas across the state. The festival pass is priced at ₹300 for senior citizens and ₹500 for others.
To facilitate easy access to passes, kiosks have been set up at high-footfall locations in the city, including the KSRTC bus stand, city bus stand, railway station, parking area opposite Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, and at the Yuva Sambhrama venue near the Open Air Theatre.
The Film Festival Sub-Committee has stated that cinema passes will be available at 346 One centres in rural areas and 52 Karnataka One centres in urban areas across the district.
This initiative aims to bring the cinematic experience of the Dasara Film Festival to a wider audience, particularly those from rural areas, by simplifying the pass acquisition process.
