Mysuru: As part of Dasara celebrations, the Yoga Dasara sub-committee has planned series of programmes to promote yoga including two-day national conference on yoga at Maharaja Centenary Hall on October 5 and 6.
Kala Krishnaswamy, Deputy Special Officer of the Yoga Dasara sub-committee, said, “We will be conducting a two-day national level yoga conference on October 5 and 6 in which resource persons and renowned Yoga exponents will address the gathering.”
“Apart from this we have also planned various other programs including Yoga Prabodha for training trainers including teaching faculty of various institutions on September 21 at Maharaja’s College, Yoga Parivarthana programme to transform the inmates of the central prisons for 7 days from September 22 to 29, Yoga dance ballet competitions at Government Nature Cure and Yoga College, Yoga Arogya Bharathi for yoga practitioners and public on September 25 at Nataraja Sabha Bhavan, Yoga Koushalya for City Armed Reserve Police on October 1 at CAR grounds, yoga trekking for yoga practitioners, students, and public at Chamundi Hills on Septmber 27 and Mass Suryanamskara at the Palace premises on the day of the inauguration of Yoga Dasara on October 2,” he added.
