Mysuru: MP Pratap Simha has appealed to the devotees to come to Chamundeshwari Temple wearing suitable clothes instead of implementing the Government’s mandate.

Speaking to mediapersons here, he said, “The idea of implementing a dress code at Chamundi Hill has been brought to my notice many times by the public. “There is a rule in Kerala that women must wear a saree and men must wear dhoti and shalya whenever they go to any temple.”

“I agree with the campaign being launched by the organisations to wear traditional attire and have darshan of Chamundeshwari with devotion. Instead of implementing it through law, it would be better if it is brought into practice by the devotees themselves,” he said.
