Mysuru: Everyone has the right to vote, said Tahasildar Thimmappa and added that no one should lose it.
Speaking after inaugurating the compulsory voting awareness programme organised in the City, he said that new names can be added to the electoral rolls till April 11 and those whose names have not been included in the voters’ list should submit their applications for inclusion. The petition called upon all to do the work of making everyone aware of the importance of voting, he said.
“On the main roads of the City, officials of various departments, gram panchayat PDOs and staff members, anganwadi workers took out an awareness jatha shouting various slogans,” he said.
