Mysuru: Out of the students who appeared for the NEET-2018, S Anudeep from Sadvidya PU College has secured the highest ranking in the district. He secured 1374th all India rank with 99.89 percentile in NEET-2018 whose results were announced on Monday, June 4.

NEET is conducted by the CBSE every year to admit students for the medical and dental courses in the country.

For Anudeep it was his childhood dream of becoming a doctor that motivated him to study for NEET. “I used to help people who were sick by bringing them medicines since childhood. At the same time, I was also very much interested to become a doctor. It didn’t come easily but I got it through by both hard and smart work. The dedication, determination and focused study helped me to achieve success”, he said.

Elaborating on the inspiration behind the achievement, he said, “Couple of serials in television where doctor managed to help the people also ignited me to take up medicine. Everyday I used to study for three to four hours, including tuition. Reading novels on laptop was my stress buster.”

Anudeep wants to be a cardiologist after he completes his MBBS degree. He also attributed his success to his teachers, parents and even friends. He had scored 146 marks in Physics, 148 in Chemistry and 309 in Biology with a total of 603 marks out of the maximum 720.

Anudeep had scored very good marks in II PU exams recently. He had scored 590 marks including centum in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and Sanskrit while 90 marks in English. He is the proud son of R Sathyanarayan and Sheela Sathyanarayan.

D S Narasimhamurthy, Principal of Savidya PU College who is overwhelmed with Anudeep performance said, “Going by his hard work, we had high expectations from him and today we are happy with the outcome. From the beginning, he was very focused on his goal. His hard work fetched him the deserving result.”
