Mysuru: The search committee constituted for selecting the next vice chancellor for Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences has finalised three names including that of Dr. Krishnamurthy, Director and Dean of Mysuru Medical College Research and Institute.
Few days ago, the committee had recommended two other names apart from Dr. Krishnamurthy’s, Dr. Sachidanand, Director of Medical Education Department and Dr. Harasoor, retired director of Medical Education Department. According to reliable sources, Dr. Krishnamurthy is front runner for the post.
Sources said the list had been submitted to principal secretary of Medical Education Department who in turn would forward it to the chief minister and later to the governor for his assent. There were 53 applications of which the committee shortlisted 32 and of them three names were finalised.
