
Mysuru Muslims Hold Candlelight March Condemning Pahalgam Terror Attack
Mysuru: In a strong show of unity, Muslim clerics and members of various Muslim organisations staged a candlelight march on Monday to denounce the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
Chanting slogans against Pakistan and terrorism, the protesters demanded swift arrest of the attackers. They carried placards condemning Pakistan’s role in destabilizing Kashmir. The rally began at Milad Park and concluded at Foundation Circle, drawing support from onlookers and local traders.
Sir Khazi of Mysore, Hazrath Moulana Mohammed Usman Shariff, condemned the attack and called for tough action against the terrorists. He pledged full support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to protect the nation’s borders.
Former mayor Ayub Khan urged the government to send a strong message by severely punishing those involved and appealed for enhanced compensation to the victims’ families. He also emphasized the need to strengthen security measures in the Valley.
Prominent participants included Moulana Mufti Syed Tajuddin, Md Zakaulla Saheb Siddiqui, Sufi Anwaar Ahmed Saheb Nizami, Ibrahim, Umar Farooq, Abdul Azeez from Phulwari Orphanage, and former corporators like Suhail Baig and Ayaz Pasha.
