Mysuru: MLA S. R. Mahesh has said that it is really sad that some people who have been associated with our party, who have grown up with us and have benefitted a lot, are standing against me and the party and stabbing him in the back.
Addressing a Convention of JD (S) workers in Saligrama Town in the District, he said, “In my tenure, I have given the highest amount of funds to the District for the development of basic amenities like drinking water, roads, electricity, education, hospitals, community halls, farmers and other areas. I am satisfied that as an MLA, I have personally helped in the all-round development of villages of all sections of voters to the best of my ability,” he said.
“The girls used to leave home at 6.00 am to work in far-flung areas and return home at night. Since I am aware of the difficulties of managing their families, I am very much concerned about the daughters and mothers of my Constituency and thus started a garment factory which has never been done in any field in the District. It is now giving jobs to 1,000 girls and providing them the income that they get by making 70,000 daughters shareholders,” he said.
