Mysuru: Braving steep climbs, rugged trails and rapidly changing terrain, a group of trekkers from Mysuru has successfully crossed the 14,100-ft-high Hampta Pass in the Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas.
The team recently returned to the city after completing the challenging high-altitude expedition in Himachal Pradesh, which offered spectacular views of the Himalayan landscape.
Team takes on challenging Himalayan terrain
Led by Mysuru-based adventure enthusiast D.S.D. Solanki, the expedition brought together senior professionals and young students. Solanki, who has completed more than 85 Himalayan expeditions, guided the group through demanding sections of the trek.
The trekkers faced heavy rain, rugged trails and difficult high-altitude conditions during the expedition. The rapidly changing terrain added to the challenge as the team made its way towards the 14,100-ft Hampta Pass.
Experience tests endurance and determination
The successful crossing was a test of physical endurance, preparation and teamwork, particularly for the younger members of the group. Despite the difficult weather and terrain, the trekkers completed the expedition successfully.
The journey also gave the Mysuru group an opportunity to experience the dramatic Himalayan landscape at high altitude, making the expedition both a demanding adventure and a memorable achievement.
The return of the trekkers to Mysuru marks the successful completion of another Himalayan expedition led by Solanki, whose extensive experience in high-altitude trekking helped guide the team through the challenging route.
