Mysuru: The Mysuru Zoo has introduced an eco-friendly battery-operated vehicle for visitors, provided by Walkmate Mysuru as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The key to the vehicle was handed over to the zoo staff by the company’s Managing Director, Bastian Joseph, and Director, Roshan Bastian, during a recent event.

In an official release, the zoo authorities expressed their gratitude to Walkmate Mysuru for their generous contribution, highlighting the positive impact such initiatives can have on the environment and visitor experience. The introduction of the battery-operated vehicle aligns with the zoo’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainability and enhance the overall experience for its visitors.

The zoo authorities also emphasized that this contribution from Walkmate Mysuru is expected to inspire other corporate bodies and charitable institutions to participate in similar eco-friendly initiatives. By supporting the zoo through such contributions, companies can play a significant role in promoting environmental conservation and responsible tourism.

This move is part of a broader effort to make Mysuru Zoo a more sustainable and visitor-friendly destination, setting an example for other zoos and public spaces in the region. The zoo hopes that the new vehicle will not only reduce carbon emissions but also provide a comfortable and accessible means of transport for all visitors, including the elderly and those with mobility issues.
