Mysuru: Mysuru District In-charge Minister S. T. Somashekar on Friday June 3 said that Bharatiya Janata Party Candidate M. V. Ravishankar is getting a good response in the run-up to the State Legislative Council elections from South Graduates’ Constituency.
Speaking to mediapersons, he said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will be canvassing shortly. He will be talking to the leaders of all the four districts. Congress has never won this seat before and JD (S) is not getting the expected support. In this scenario, BJP candidate is sitting comfortably, he said.
On the revision of textbooks, Somashekar said, Bommai will be holding a meeting with concerned officials and steps will be taken accordingly. On the attack on Primary and Secondary Education Minister B. C. Nagesh’s house in Bengaluru, Somashekar said that the police will be taking action against the guilty. Preparations for the International Day of Yoga on June 21 will be finalised after the Chief Minister’s visit on June 8, he added.
