Chamarajanagar: On World Elephant Day, a male elephant was discovered dead under unclear circumstances at an elephant camp in Chamarajanagar district.
On the same day, 13-year-old Aishwarya gave birth to a baby girl at Rampura Elephant Camp in Chamarajanagar district’s Bandipur National Park.
In a separate incident, a 12-year-old male elephant was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Elephant Day at the farm of Nagaraju and Selvam in Gopinatham near Male Mahadeshwara Hills.
Upon receiving news of the elephant’s demise, officials from the forest department promptly visited the location and conducted an examination.
