Chamarajanagar: Pro-Kannada groups staged a notable protest within the city, objecting to the repeated diversion of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu by the state government.
Commencing at the Sri Chamarajeshwara Temple to Bhuvaneswari Circle along NH-209. Pro-Kannada groups passionately chanted slogans denouncing the Tamil Nadu government, while simultaneously urging the prompt resignation of Karnataka’s Lok Sabha representatives for their apparent silence regarding the actions of Rajya Sabha members.
The district’s pro-Kannada groups organised the protest. Notable figures like President Murali, Srinivasa Gowda, Purushottama, Rajagopal, Govindaraju, Mahesh Gowda, Ravichandran Prasad, and C.H. Ramu, along with leaders from various other pro-Kannada organizations, were present.
