All the eight elephants are loaded with sandbags weighing 500-600 kgs and made to walk up to two kilometers. The weight of sandbags will be increased gradually. The elephants are being fed with nutritious food till Vijayadashami day.

The elephants” walk attracted thousands of people on Sayyaji Rao Road, Bamboo Bazaar, K. R. Circle and Banni Mantap area. This route has been regularly used for jamboo savari. However, this year the jamboo savari is restricted to palace premises owing to Covid.
