Mysuru: State Home Minister Araga Jnanendra alleged the Congress party of instigating violence in protest against Agnipath programme.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Sunday June 19 after verifying security arrangements ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Cultural city he said that youth community should congratulate PM Modi for introducing such a good project which provides short time employment for youth community and provides Rs. 24 lakh on completion of the course. He said State Government would provide employment for Agniveers in Police, Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP), Home Guards and other agencies.
He said anti-social elements are misguiding youths, and hence youth should be cautious about such people. No one should destroy public property for no reason, he stressed.
He said the murder of a person took place in Goundawada in Belagavi District owing to personal rivalry over property dispute. Police has arranged tight security after incident. He said all the arrangemnts have been made for the success of International Day of Yoga on Tuesday June 21. The full-fledged arrangements would ensure minimum hassle for people, he said.
