Mysuru: A couple in love who eloped from houses in September last was found hanging in village on Wednesday February 23.
The duo have been identified as Rakesh (25) and Archana (20). It is said that both missing from Singamaranahalli in Hunsuru Taluk from September 23. Both were in love since two years but both families strongly opposed for marriage as they belonged to different castes.
Both families has filed missing complaint with police, and the police could not trace the couple even after intense search.
Villagers said that both married amid opposition. It is suspected that on the night of Tuesday February both resorted to suicide by hanging from a tree on the outskirts of Singamaranahalli.
Bilikere police has registered a case and are investigating.
