Mahabhisheka for Nandi statue in Chamundi Hills held

Mysuru: Balaga Charitable Trust members on Sunday November 21 offered  Mahabhisheka to Nandi statue in Chamundi hills.

Mysuru Adi Chunchanagiri Matha Pontiff Somanathananda Swamiji  and Hosamatha Pontiff Chidananda Swamiji  performed pooja and abhisheka. The Trust has been organising milk, honey, and sandal paste abhisheka since years at the venue. This is the 16th year that the Trust is holding such a programme.

Before Covid Trust used to construct ‘machan’ above statue, and offered abhisheka on a larger scale. Pre-Covid times, the festive occasion also witnessed thousands of devotees come together with great fervour.
