Mysuru: Black mail by loan app, case registered

Mysuru: The CEN police of cultural city registered a case against online loan app provides for blackmailing a client. According to police a guest lecturer working in mysore university availed a loan through an online app and got blackmailed.

Chandragupta, who is working as a guest lecturer at Mysore University, offered to get a loan of 3000 through an application called Super App. But after checking the documents, the app providers ceredited loan of 1800 rupees instead of 3000 rupees into his account. The loan was availed on May 20. But before the expiry of the period, Super App has sent a message to refund the money that the period has expired.

In this case, Chandragupta borrowed Rs.1800. and repaid rs 3,000 unable to bear the torture. Then the accused demanded more money. When Chandragupta refused to pay the extra money, his account was hacked and the app company, which had collected his private information, blackmailed Chandragupta by editing an obscene photo and sending it to his friends and family. Fed up with this, Chandragupta, lodged a complaint at CEN police station in Mysuru.. Police registered a case and laid a trap to arrest culprits.
