Mysuru: Narasimharaja Constituency MLA Tanvir Sait said that a 100 feet tall statue of the erstwhile Mysuru King will be installed in Mysuru or Srirangapattana. He added that the Muslim Seniors’ Committee would decide whether the bust should be made of panchaloha or bronze
Speaking to mediapersons on Saturday November 12, he said though erecting the statue is un-Islamic it is needed at this time. He said that the community does not fear the threat posed by Sri Rama Sene State Unit President Pramod Muthalik.
He said even before the installation of the statue, Sri Rama Sene has threatened that it would demolish it. The Constitution has given all of us the right to erect statues and Sri Rama Sene never constructed anything but speaking about demolishing shows their real colours, he added.
