Mysuru: A newly wed couple have been separated by bride’s relatives reportedly from Hunsur in the District.

It is said that Abhishek, a native of Kadabanahalli in Nagamangala Taluk in Mandya District and Ananya from neighbouring Cholenahalli Village were in love with each other since 3 years. But Ananya’s family were opposing their affair and even warned him to sever relationship with the girl. But Abhishek’s family supported the affair and decided to get them married.

On Monday March 28 last Abhishek’s family came to Sri Bala Triurasundari Amma Temple in Besur of Somwarapete Taluk in Kodagu District, and conducted the marriage. While returning to Mandya on Tuesday March 29, Ananya’s family members chased their vehicle, waylaid and assaulted Abhishek and took Ananya in their vehicle. Abhishek has filed a complaint in Hunsur Police Station, and alleged that police have not been responding to his complaint.
