Mysuru: Chamaraja Constituency MLA L. Nagendra performed ‘guddali puja’ and launched road development works in Mysuru here on Friday July 15. Nagendra performed guddali puja for the road development works in his Constituency from ESI Hospital to Gokulam. The project will be taken up at a cost of Rs. 80 lakh under the SFC Special Mayor Grants.

Speaking to mediapersons he said, “People should recognise the work we do. Why ask them to recognise and give us credit,” he questioned.

Responding to the ongoing ‘credit war’ regarding Mysuru’s development, Nagendra said that “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sanctioned money for the development of Bengaluru – Mysuru National Highway 275 after coming to power. Since 2014, the Bharatiya Janata Party has been in power at the Centre. This is a well-known fact. People should talk about the development works rather than anything else.”

Commenting on the rumours being circulating with regard to the change of District In-Charge Ministers, he said that there is no such thing as the supremacy of the Chief Minister, locals, outsiders, and also there is no such thing because as a native, the party has welcomed with open arms all those who believed in the BJP and joined the party. No one is targeted in boards and corporations. The Chief Minister is making decisions and changes in order to give priority and opportunity to the newcomers. I have not recommended anyone from Mysuru. The party will eventually recognise a loyal member and give them the opportunity.”
