Mysuru: A person was stabbed by a man for questioning his marriage with minor girl at Mellahalli in Nanjanagud Taluk on Tuesday January 26.
It is said that Madesha married a minor girl aged 16, one and a half months ago. On Tuesday Hemmaragala Gram Panchayat Former President Nagesh, who is also the uncle of the girl scolded Madesha for marrying minor as it is against law.
Enraged over the advise, the accused stabbed Nagesh and fled from the scene. Nagesh has been shifted to Nanjanagudu Government Hospital for treatment.
Dodda Kavalande Police registered a case and are investigating.
