Mysuru: Mysuru – Kodagu MP Pratap Sinha said that preparations for special lighting arrangements are being made for the world famous Mysuru Dasara this time.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Thursday September 16 after participating in a meeting about Dasara festival lighting at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, he said this time, it was decided to do special lighting on the background of grand and traditional Dasara, and it also has been decided to do special lighting around 124 kms in 96 circles around Mysuru City. 28 different types of effigies, including those of star Puneeth Rajkumar, will be erected at important locations on Dasara.
Like every year, the extension of lightings from 7.00 pm to 10.30 pm has been allowed. This time it has been planned to extend for half an hour more till 11.00 pm. Preparations have been made to light up from the airport to Mysuru, and this time there will be a grand lighting system during Dasara, the MP added.
