Mysuru: A man abducted a minor and allegedly raped her on Friday June 10 came to light when accused dropped off victim at the Balamandir.
Arun, the accused who is on the run, is a resident of Karapura Village in HD Kote Taluk, committed the crime on the 17-year-old PUC student with the help of his elder brother, Abhi and aunt, Ashwini who are also on the run as well.
The accused and the minor were in a relationship previously. However, her family arranged a marriage with another man. Upon hearing the news, Arun allegedly abducted her against her wish from Nanjanagudu and kept her in relatives’ house in Kumbara Koppal. He raped and looted all her jewellery when she refused to marry him. The girl was later handed over to her grandmother from Balamandir.
The minor reported the incident to the police against Arun, his brother Abhi and Aunt Ashwini. A POCSO case has been registered at the Nanjanagudu Police Station. The investigation is on to nab three accused.
