Mysuru: The State Government has ordered an investigation into the cloth bag buying scam against Rohini Sindhuri, who is said to be allegedly involved in the scam when she was the Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru.

The allegation was made by JD (S) MLA of KR Nagar Sa. Ra. Mahesh, who made a series of allegations against Sindhuri that she had been involved in a Rs 6.18 Crore scam while purchasing cotton bags and that public money had been wasted.

He had also said, “The bags were bought at Rs. 52 per piece, while we bought the same bags at Rs. 13 per piece including GST. How is this possible?,” he questioned.

Responding to all charges putforth by Mahesh, Sindhuri had issued a statement saying that the allegations against her are “blatant lies and contrary to the truth.”
