Mysuru: The election officer has issued notices to the Congress and the BJP for using vehicles without prior approval during Nanjangud by-election campaign.

On March 12, permission was granted for both the public meetings attended by BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Nanjangud. But no permission was sought to use vehicles during the meeting.

Its mandatory to get permission both for the meetings as well to use vehicles. Hence Election Officer J Jagadish issued notices to both the parties seeking answer from them within 24 hours.
