The leopard, an approximately four-year-old male, had been relentlessly attacking livestock for the past few days, causing fear and anxiety among the villagers and farmers who were afraid to venture into their fields.

Responding to the villagers’ pleas, Nanjangud Forest Department Officers formed a special team to track the leopard’s movements and set up a trap on Ganesh Naik’s land, where the leopard was frequently spotted.

The leopard eventually fell into the trap, and upon receiving the news, Range Forest Officer Nitin Kumar and his team rushed to the scene, secured the leopard, and released it back into the forest.
