Mysuru: A new born baby was found dead in a drain adjacent to a water tank at Gandhinagar in Periyapatna town limits today.
It is suspected that the baby might have been thrown into the drain after delivery.
The tag of the hospital where baby was delivered is attached to the left hand of the body.
The police have registered a case and assured of quick action once the post mortem report comes out. The tag may provide vital clues during investigation.
