Mysuru misses smart city project due to  financial resource mismanagement

According to rules, Corporators are not eligible to take any contract works within MCC limits. However, they manage to execute many contracts using other contractors’ names. The Auditor General had held the corporation responsible for having failed to give a proper account of Rs 2000 Crore received by it under National Urban Renewal Mission (NURM) program. The cultural city with “Clean City” tag missed the smart city project due to mismanagement of financial resources, it is learnt.
