Mysuru: Of the 63,068 candidates who appeared for the KSET 2017 examination, only 4295 candidates including 2603 males and 1692 females have secured eligibility. These candidates are eligible to become Assistant Professors in Karnataka state, said In-charge Vice Chancellor of University of Mysore T K Umesh. The certificate issued by the centre is having a lifetime validity.
“Compared to last year, the pass percentage has come down this year. Last year the pass percentage was 7.12 while this year it has come down to 6.81 per cent. The University of Mysore, the nodal agency had conducted the 6th KSET examination on December 31, 2017, and was held for 39 subjects in 11 nodal centres across the state. Among the 73,608 candidates registered for the KSET examination, 63068 candidates appeared for the examination and just 4295 of them managed to clear the exam. The certificate issued by our centre is having a lifetime validity”, added Umesh.
He also mentioned that the Bengaluru nodal centre with an overall passing percentage of 9.33 per cent topped the list. In all,10,225 students appeared for the exam and 961 of them managed to clear it successfully while the Mysuru centre stood third with an overall pass percentage of 7.07 per cent. Among the 12,263 of them who appeared for the test, 867 managed to clear the exam. Next year, there will be a change in KSET pattern.”
