Mysuru: The people of ‘Royal City’ has something to rejoice for this year as the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation has given a ‘green signal’ for flight services from Mandakalli Airport to five different regions within the country. This plan is initiated under the ‘Udan-3’ scheme.

Currently, three aviation companies have come forward supporting the initiative.

There will be six-passenger aircraft flying on a daily basis from the airport to Hyderabad, Goa, Kochi, Belagavi, and Bengaluru. In this, from Mysuru to Panaji, Kochi and Hyderabad Indigo Airlines will lend its support. To Bengaluru, it will be Alliance Air and for Belagavi it is Turbo Megha.

From Mysuru-Hyderabad two aircraft will take a flight on daily basis.

As this aviation facility aims at providing comfortable flight travel at less expensive rates, already TruJet Company has come forward to lend its support for aviation between Mysuru-Chennai with a 72-seater aircraft.

The service is said to begin in a month from now.
