Mysuru: Congress will emerge victorious in both Nanjangud and Gundlupet by-election, said KPCC President and Home Minister G Parameshwara.
Speaking to media persons here on Friday, Parameshwar said he was confident that both the Congress candidates will triumph without any problems. “The allegation made by V Srinivasprasad against is far from true and baseless. In my election career, I have never distributed any money to win in any elections. I have contested various elections and have tasted both victory and defeat but I have never violated the law. Before making comments, Prasad must remember who used money to get the minister’s post,” said Parameshwar indirectly accusing Prasad to become a minister.
Voters will give a fitting reply:
Srinivasprasad addressing media persons said, “Siddaramaiah has betrayed me and the voters will give a fitting reply to him in the by-election.” BJP leader and MP Shobha Karandlage who also spoke on the occasion said, “The Congress government is luring voters by distributing money but we are facing the elections as per the guidelines of the Election Commission. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has brought his entire Cabinet to campaign for the Congress candidates but has failed to impress the voters.”
