Police arrest one for abetment of Swathi’s suicide last month

Mysuru: The N R police  arrested one person for abetment of suicide on Monday.  The arrest relates to the suicide case of a college student Swathi who committed suicide on April 16. The accused identified as Adarsha Aradhya a native of Shivamogga, was staying at a room in Bannimantap.

Police said, that Swathi on April 16 committed suicide because she had to bear with the harassment of Adharsha Aradhya. Before committing suicide she had written suicide note and said she was psychologically harassed by Adharsha.

Based on the suicide note and her mobile phone police had trapped the accused and arrested him. Police personnel had informed that, her parents had accidentally found one pen-drive in her bag where she used to save her communication with the boy. In the pen-drive Swathi had stored her voice record file.

In the voice record police found Adharsha was forcing her not talk with her friends and her family, and her friends. He was also verbally abusing at night time.

Before committing the suicide Swathi had also written a suicide note which said “I was receiving a message from an unknown number and fed up with this I am taking this extreme step. A boy who I know is in trouble, and he loves me lot. Papa please help him.”

According to the police, Adharsha was also arrested by Bengaluru police for taking a sexual offensive picture of women, and blackmailing her.
