Mysuru: The South Western Railway, Mysuru division conducted a seminar on safety “Samraksha Samvad” at DRM meeting hall in Mysuru.
Addressing all the officers, supervisors and staff of Mysuru Division, Atul Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager, Mysuru division, has expressed a serious concern on a recent accident that occurred in North Central Railway and advised all the railway men to be alert and vigilant on duty. He also emphasised that Mysuru Division head towards achieving a zero accident status. Elimination of all the unmanned level crossing gates in the division must be achieved by the target year 2020, he enthused.
During the seminar, all the branch officers discussed about the safe operation of trains and also safety measures to be adopted in working by railway men. An interactive session with supervisors and staffs was also organised along with case study of recent accidents. The officers gave power point presentations on their respective safety areas. The Railway Board has directed all the zonal railways to observe a month long road safety awareness campaign from January 5 to February 5.
In days to come, the division will be conducting such seminars at important stations including Davangere, Hassan, Arsikere and Shimoga. Venkateswara Rao, Senior Divisional Safety Office, Mysuru division and other branch Officers were present on the occasion
